Located a very quick drive down the coast from the Spanish Basque town of San Sebastian, Ameztoi's vineyards overlook the Atlantic Ocean and have done so for 7 generations. Ignacio Ameztoi continues his family's tradition of making Txakolina in the province of Getaria using the local grape called Hondarribi Zurri and its red compantion, Hondarribi Beltza. Traditionally made as a white wine with bracing acidity and zesty lime citrus and a natural effervescence, the Ameztoi Rubentis Rosado was created quite recently and was the first rose Txakoli to be produced.
